When I saw this car for sale and the out of town phone number I figured it had to be a scam. The car was too clean and the price was too low. I hastily phoned the seller and breathlessly asked, "Is this car in the bay area?" A sultry voice replied enthusiastically, "Yes, as a matter of fact yes, it is in the bay area and it is still available." I tried everything in my power to lock in this deal. I texted a picture of cash. I professed my undying love of all shapes and forms of classic cars. I did everything that I thought could somehow get me the first appointment at 9 am the following day. Alas, I was thwarted. A man faster than I had quick drawn me and won the race. I sat with head in hand and pondered what could have been over a cold beverage. This car was too beautiful for any person to refuse and I figured its owner was the same way. At 10:30 am, I texted the seller. The first caller had passed! I hastily grabbed my car keys and headed for the freeway. I arrived at the car which was off in the side lot of a high end European body shop. A kind employee started the car for me and I took all of 10 minutes to decide. No brainer. I'll take it, I texted the woman. She was pleased and told me we would rendezvous in 30 minutes. It was a sweltering day and I sat under a tree and counted my blessings. Soon a flashy luxury car pulled in on a cloud. There was a pure bred doggie lolling its tongue as me. A tall, thin woman wafted over to me. We shook hands, traded cash and a few car stories, and I was the happiest man I knew at that point in time.
What I have for you car buffs is a car in need of a new roof. My partner said, "Vinyl tops are the worst invention in cars, ever." And that truth is evident here. The car roars to a start, shifts well, and is sexy as red pumps and black dresses. If you wanted to repair the roof as is and slap some vinyl on it, you'd have the best budget cruiser in town. I am very pleased with this purchase and I have brought it here for you. There's lots of little dings here and there and this green is a shade darker than the original. All the glass in intact. I was just too lazy to wash it all for the pictures. The rear windshield chrome is present and I will have to add a picture of the trunk. The trunk is in fair condition. There are no holes in the trunk but there is surface rust. There is some bubbling down low on the passenger rear quarter and I have done my best to take the pictures for you. This was a hot deal.
