My partner and I had found this amazing ride in a decent part of town. Once we saw it we were hooked and wanted it bad. We never could find anyone at home and left note, after note, after note. Nothing ever happened. Not a response, not a phone call, not even a door slammed in our face. Soon a for sale sign came on the house and we were horrified. I notified the real estate agent that I would pay a hefty sum for the cool, blue Jensen. No happy ending here. The cars were towed away never to be seen again. Fast forward a year later and a small ad came up with the car for sale. It had been towed to a reputable tow yard, a lien was placed on it, and then it came back up for sale. I hustled right over there and made a deal. Towing to my garage was included.

The tow guy had been deterred from repairing the Jensen. He couldn't get the hood open. I merely reached under the dash and grabbed the wire. A good pull and a satisfying click, there we have it, the hood was opened. My friend came over and fit a key, we put a fresh battery in it, and the 383 grumbled to life. I was pleased with my good fortune. I forgot to tell you, that we did add 5 gallons of premium fuel which undoubtedly helped.

The car had been outrageously flared and giant spoked rims with knock-offs were added. This ought to horrify the purists but the guys on the street hit the brakes when they this audacious machine. This car makes me think of your rich friends dad. Your friend took you into the garage to show you his dad's cars. You had no idea what they were but you knew they were worth a looooottttt of money. If you want to make an impression and have something no one else does, look no further.

The Jensen had a bubbling problem. There is lots of bubbles in the paint job. I have photographed them. You will need a body guy who has his stuff together to get this stuff together. The interior is a project too. We dig the original 8 track tape. The tires look mean as rusty nails but they got some weather cracking on the sides. At least one will need to be replaced. They do hold air and the Jensen does hold a charge and drives. It's been starting smoother every time. It's a smooth ride. Can you smooth it out?
